Grand Theft Auto VI now has a firm release date: November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games confirmed the day in an official Newswire post, and Take-Two Interactive has reaffirmed it as the studio's launch target.

A date reached after two delays

The November window is the third date players have been given. Rockstar initially pointed to a 2025 launch when it announced the game, then moved the release to May 26, 2026, before settling on November 19, 2026. Each change was communicated directly by the studio rather than leaked.

Platforms: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

At launch, GTA 6 targets two platforms only: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC version, and there is no PC release date at this stage — in line with the studio's habit of bringing earlier Grand Theft Auto titles to PC later.

Pre-orders and editions

Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026. Rockstar confirmed two editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S: a Standard Edition at $79.99 and an Ultimate Edition at $99.99.

What is still officially open

Beyond the date, platforms, editions and price, Rockstar has kept most launch specifics — exact map size, online plans, PC timing — unconfirmed. We update this article only when the studio or Take-Two states something on the record.
